Convict Lake Print (11" by 14": Paper Mounted on Acrylic)
Convict Lake is a lake in the Sherwin Range of the Sierra Nevada in California, USA. It is known for its fishing and the dramatic mountains (including Mount Morrison) that surround the lake. Its surface lies at an elevation of 7,850 ft (2,393 m).

The lake was named after an incident on September 23, 1871, where a group of convicts escaped from prison in Carson City. A posse, from Benton, led by Deputy Sheriff George Hightower, encountered the convicts near the head of what is now Convict Creek.

Creek in Eastern Sierras Print (11" by 14": Paper Mounted on Acrylic)
This creek just happened to be passing through a valley adjacent to US395. I don't recall if this creek has a name, but the image and print makes a fantastic winter holiday card.

Cerro Gordo Print (11" by 14": Paper Mounted on Acrylic)
In 1868 Mortimer Belshaw arrived in Cerro Gordo, attracted by the rich deposits of galena ore. After establishing a partnership with another stakeholder in the Union Mine, he brought the first wagon load of silver from Cerro Gordo to Los Angeles. In Los Angeles he was able to secure financing to build his own smelter that was superior to all other smelters at Cerro Gordo, as well as to build the first wagon road up the mountain. This road became known as the Yellow Road from the color of the rock that it had been cut through. By operating the Yellow Road as a toll road Mortimer Belshaw was able to earn income and control the shipments of silver from the mountain.
